The 20th Century Costume Hire Company was established by married couple, Yvonne Duckett and Mick Tattersall.

It developed from Mick’s hoarding of clothes dating back to the 1940's, including cult fashions and Yvonne’s buying for film and TV.

 

Yvonne graduated in costume design from Wimbledon School of Art then worked in costume in both TV and film for over twenty years as a supervisor and later a designer gaining an Emmy award for her work in 2012.

 

With a recent move back to the North it became apparent that there was a lack of costume hire companies. Mick and Yvonne started to buy and add to their already substantial collection of period clothing and started to rent out costumes as a sideline.

 

Yvonne now wishes to operate as a business, providing a rental service for an increasing number of period productions that are filming in the Northwest.

 

The 20th Century Costume Hire Company currently has over 5,000 costume pieces for hire and are in the process of improving and expanding their collection in order to meet further demands.
